All my desktops, photos and icons are free and open to download. Many of these I use personally. I trust in the audience not to claim any of these pieces as their own, or to use it commercially without my permission.

Bringing your desktops to the web
Like many people who use a computer, I find myself looking at the surrounding visual framework wanting to mold it to something that fits my mood. Having done so myself for the past years, I've accumulated a large archive of desktops, icons and themes both that I made as well as downloaded from other interface sites such as iconfactory.

Share and share alike
All of the links you see that lead to desktops spawn a pop-up window. Once open, you either (on a pc) right click and click the 'make/set wallpaper/desktop', or (on a mac)you'll hold down the ctrl key and click on the image, and click 'save image as' to save the desktop to your 'pictures' folder. You will then need to got to System preferences, Desktop/Screensaver, and choose the image. You have some choices to 'center' 'stretch' or 'tile'. Given that I'm providing only one size, I would simply choose 'center', so that the image doesn't appear distorted. If you're using a screen that's larger than 1600x1200, give me some time - I'm in the process of transferring all of these to a larger resolution for cinema displays.

Portal Experience I've had the chance to work with some fantastic teams on some challenging portal work. Below is a list of some of the more notable portals I've helped architect and design. Just remember, I'm not a programmer - I design the concept and the interface graphics as well as CSS, but not the backend code.
