All that had changed overnight - I was receiving threatening phone calls, I was being turned down for job opportunities and friends weren't returning messages. Emails were coming through, deeply aggressive in nature, and I started worrying about my safety.
I began this interactive journey in 1993, closing myself up in my small Dallas apartment - committed to step out of the limited realm of BBS publishing, and into the realm of Internet publishing. I was so inspired by the amazing potential of what the web promised - boundary-free global community and communication. I was stunned at how easy it was to publish HTML pages for Mosaic, the worlds first commercial web browser. Since then, Conscious Shell has lived as an online avatar in one form or another. CS is my own desire to capture that initial point of discovery.
