Life experience in many different cultures provides me with the unique ability to step back and analyze my own assumptions and views.
About
I'm often asked why I decided to settle down in Dallas. After all, until my Sophomore year in college, my life seemed very exotic - travelling from place to place, studying in Europe and emotional roots harkening back to years in Latin America. My answer is always quite simple - when you stay in one place for a time, you begin to notice the details - the colors and shapes take on a deeper meaning. I'm here in Dallas because a sense of nostalgia, rootedness and belonging give life a deeper texture.
I've always been fascinated with the art of the story. I'm not sure why, but even as a kid, some of my earliest joys were of listening to my swash-buckling father weaving a tale about his many death-defying trips into the nethers of the Peruvian jungle. I would spend hours afterwards re-imagining his exploits, with me in them.
The Internet is the perfect phenomena for the distribution of stories and yarns - some commercial, some not. Regardless, I'm here to stay. Not because I love technology, or because I love the constant shift in innovations. I love it because so long as there is no end to people using the Internet, there will be no end to good yarns.
So when you bring me into your team, you'll be getting a resource with a keen understanding of technology as a means to express your story, not the ends.
